وقال يايسله، في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة الرياضية السعودية: “خسارة صعبة ولنكن صريحين، لا نستحق الفوز، وارتكبنا أخطاء كثيرة، ولا يجب أن يكون الوضع هكذا، ونحن محبطون”.

وأضاف: “الهدفان الثاني والثالث جاءا من كرتين طوليتين لم يتعامل معهما الدفاع بصورة صحيحة، ولكن هذه هي كرة القدم عندما ترتكب أخطاءً تستقبل الأهداف في مرماك، وبيراميدز استحق هذا الفوز”.
وتابع: “لدينا مدافعين أقوياء في الكرات الطويلة وأثبتوا ذلك في الموسمين الماضيين، وما حدث أمر صعب عليّ، ولكن هذه كرة القدم، سنعالج الأخطاء في المستقبل، ولا ألوم اللاعبين، لكن يجب تجنب مثل هذه الأخطاء، ما نحتاجه هو التركيز، وفي كرة القدم تحدث أحيانا أمورًا سخيفة خارجة عن الإرادة، وسنصبح أفضل”.
وعن إشراك الجناح البرازيلي ويندرسون جالينو أساسيا، رغم الشكوك حول جاهزيته، واستبداله بعد نصف ساعة فقط، قال المدرب: “كان واضحًا أن جالينو يستطيع المشاركة، ولم أدفع به إلا بعد التشاور مع الجهاز الطبي، لكن ما حدث في الملعب شيء مختلف”.
وأشار: “فريقنا قوي وقادر على الخروج من هذا الوضع الصعب في قادم الأيام، وسنعمل على تحسين الأمور، وأعتذر للجماهير، كانت تستحق نتيجة أفضل خاصة في مناسبة اليوم الوطني”.

Why Simons would be a good signing
There is no doubt that Simons is a hugely exciting talent. The Leipzig attacker, who can play right across the frontline, has shone in the last couple of years for the German side, and was once described as a “sensation” by football scout Antonio Mango.
Last season, the youngster, who is still just 22 years of age, played 33 times for Leipzig, scoring 11 times and assisting a further eight goals. He struggled with an ankle injury and missed a large portion of the season between October and December.
Some of his stats from the 2024/25 Bundesliga campaign are impressive and show his ability to create chances in the final third. For example, the former Barcelona academy star averaged 5.86 progressive passes and 2.13 key passes each game, placing him in the top 5% and 15% respectively.

It is that kind of creativity that will serve Haaland well. The Norwegian striker has been a revelation for City and has a sensational record for the club. In 146 games, he’s found the back of the net 124 times, chipping in with 21 assists.
Yet, taking a player with the quality of De Bruyne out of the City team would surely impact Haaland if they don’t replace him well. The pair combined for 25 goals, and Haaland has never linked up with a player more times in his career, as per Transfermarkt.
It is certainly a big job for Simons if he were to step into De Bruyne’s shoes this season. Just looking at the numbers he managed to put up with Haaland shows just how dominant the pair were together.
Yet, the Dutchman, who was born in Amsterdam, has put up some fantastic numbers over the past couple of seasons and is a consistent chase creator, as the above number showed. It is easy to imagine Haaland getting on the end of passes such as this one to new Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko.
Of course, £60m is a huge investment for City to make, given they have bought a lot of players already this summer. Yet, they need a quality De Bruyne replacement, and Simons has the ability to become that player.

Following a summer of turbulence, David Ornstein has confirmed that Danny Rohl has left his post at Sheffield Wednesday after informing his players and staff this morning of his intention to depart Hillsborough.
“Danny Rohl exits position as Sheffield Wednesday head coach. Agreement finalised for 36yo to depart SWFC – players + staff being informed this morning. German boss free to pursue next steps; expected to take some time to consider options.”
Financially, Sheffield Wednesday are in a frail position and have been unable to pay players on time in recent months. Rohl opting to leave is just the latest in a long line of exits, including Josh Windass and Michael Smith.
Dejphon Chansiri’s mismanagement of club affairs has left fans irate. On the same token, uncertainty over whether club captain Barry Bannan will commit to the Owls is another frustrating element of the current state of play.
With no imminent takeover in sight, it is hard to envisage when things will start to take a turn in the other direction. Sheffield Wednesday are in a dark period, but supporters will cling on to the hope that light exists at the end of the tunnel.

Sheffield Wednesday take Reece Clairmont on trial
According to The Star, Sheffield Wednesday have signed former Arsenal winger Reece Clairmont for a trial after he left the Gunners on a free transfer at the end of last season.
The 18-year-old winger is reported to have started for an Under-21 Owls side in a 2-0 defeat to Derby County over the weekend. Whether or not he earns a contract remains to be seen, though the academy pathway is set to be heavily utilised this term in light of off-field problems.
