Speaking to the Last Word on Spurs podcast, Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and co want three more signings ahead of the 2020/2021 Premier League campaign – specifically a centre-back, winger and striker.

Romano, who appeared as a guest on the popular podcast mid-week, shed light on some of Spurs’ potential next moves after already landing a trio of defensive names.

Indeed, Tottenham have secured the acquisitions of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Matt Doherty and Joe Hart for a net spend figure of around £16.4 million – but reliable transfer guru Romano has confirmed that the club are not done there.

Famous for his ‘here we go’ Twitter announcements concerning new arrivals at Europe’s top clubs, Romano has been touted as one of the most reliable journalists of the window – and he has now claimed that Spurs want to strengthen at centre-back, on the flank and going forward ahead of the new Premier League season.

Spurs have been linked with a plethora of forwards as they search for a reliable back-up to Harry Kane, with Bournemouth duo Callum Wilson and Josh King coming up repeatedly over the last fortnight (football.london).

Meanwhile, correspondent Alasdair Gold has outlined other links both past and present – including the likes of Chris Wood, Arkadiusz Milik, Olivier Giroud, Ollie Watkins and Darwin Nunez.

While the forward area seems key, Tottenham also want to acquire a centre-back and winger – with Marash Kumbulla most recently linked to taking up a role at Spurs in the former position (Corriere di Verona).

On the wing, Romano claims that Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey attracts manager Jose Mourinho’s admiration – but the club would have to pay over the odds.

Judging by the Italian’s comments to the LWOS show, this could shape up to be an entertaining end to the window.

Key information about Gayfield Park

Gayfield Park was originally built in 1880 and is now the home of Scottish Championship’s side Arbroath FC. The ground is located beside the North Sea, close to the Arbroath Harbour, and was actually replaced by a new stadium going by the same name in 1925.

Its current maximum capacity stands at 6,488, 861 of which are seated, and it has a pitch that measures 105m by 65m. The surface is covered with grass and it has no running track surrounding it.

The record attendance of 13,510 supporters at Gayfield Park was set on 23 February 1952 when Arbroath faced Glasgow Rangers.

A history of Gayfield Park

Back when Arbroath FC were formed in 1878, they first played their football at Woodville Park and Hospitalfield before actually buying the site that was initially a former rubbish tip on the seafront of the town. And by 1880, their new home, Gayfield Park, was ready to be introduced to the world.

The very first game to be played at the new venue was a clash against Rob Roy in the Scottish Cup but even though the ground was brand new and still an improvement on their previous facilities, it was very cramped and bigger teams such as Glasgow Rangers were not happy campers whenever they had to visit Arbroath.

But that sometimes worked in their favour since it was at Gayfield Park the club recorded the biggest ever victory in an official match, beating Bon Accord in the Scottish Cup 36-0. In 1921, Arbroath finally entered the Scottish Football League, moving up in the world and playing the first League game at Gayfield Park against Johnstone.

Around that time was when the first talk of potentially constructing a brand new ground was first brought to light in a project dubbed ‘Greater Gayfield’. In 1925, those ideas were also realised and it also led to the pitch being moved 60 yards with the halfway line now becoming the goal line. This also enabled them to erect a stand along Dundee Road.

The new ground, also called Gayfield Park, was opened on 29 August against East Fife and relatively soon after that, Arbroath would also record their highest ever attendance of 13,510 fans when Rangers returned in February 1952. Of course, over the years, the capacity would shrink to its current 6,488 due to safety reasons and this also means the record is highly unlikely to be broken any time soon.

In 1955, the club installed floodlights and three years later, the main stand was destroyed by fire and it would take Arbroath until 2002 to finally replace it with a new one. That one would also get redeveloped and improved in 2010. It is simply known as the Gayfield Main Stand and is the only all-seated area of the ground.

The other sides of the stadium are all terraces of similar size and look. Whenever the away fans have to be segregated from the home supporters, they are usually allocated to the pleasureland stand End and half of the East Terrace, which can also be reduced to just the former area if necessary.

Mateusz Bogusz has long been seen as one of the next big things at Leeds United.

Fans have been calling for him to get a first-team opportunity for what seems like an eternity now, and while their prayers were slightly answered last year as he made his league debut against Charlton Athletic, it looks as though the 19-year-old is set to take a step backwards in his quest towards becoming a first-team star at Elland Road.

Indeed, it appears as though Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta have decided he is to leave on a temporary basis, with Football Insider reporting that Bogusz will be sent out on loan for the 2020/21 season. While getting some experience in senior football lower down the pyramid may end up being a good thing, you have to wonder about whether or not this would have happened if the Whites weren’t promoted.

Being a Premier League side means you have the funds to strengthen, and Leeds have done exactly that in Bogusz’s positions, bringing in Spain international Rodrigo who has featured predominantly as a number 10 so far this season, while also being on the hunt for another central midfielder.

Marcelo Bielsa has done a great chance of giving young players a chance at Leeds with the likes of Jack Clarke and Jamie Shackleton racking up plenty of appearances over the past two seasons, and it seemed logical for Bogusz to be the next in line for that type of opportunity.

The 19-year-old was the recipient of some big praise from Mateusz Klich last year, with his teammate stating that he has a ‘big future’, and while that may still be the case, he won’t get the chance to showcase his talents at Elland Road this season.

In a way, this shows one downside of getting promoted to the Premier League in that the division is much too competitive for a club like Leeds to consistently give their youngsters a chance, which may end up slowing their paths to becoming first-team stars.

وعن شعوره بالظلم، قال: “لا، لن أستخدم تلك الكلمة، إنه شيء يحفزني على المضي قدمًا والعمل والأداء على مستوى النادي ومنتخب بلادي، إنها في النهاية حرية الصحفيين في التصويت أو التعبير، وهم يصوتون بشرف وضمير”.

الحارس السنغالي تألق مع تشيلسي بعدما انضم في سبتمبر 2020 وفاز ببطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا بعدما شارك في 44 مباراة، ولديه 15 مباراة دولية مع أسود التيرانجا، ووصل إلى نهائيات كأس أمم أفريقيا 2019 للنهائي وخسره ضد الجزائر.
