Ainda que de forma tímida, o São Paulo já se movimenta para tentar segurar por mais tempo dois jogadores que caíram no gosto de Edgardo Bauza. Na semana passada, o Tricolor fez os primeiros contatos com o Porto (POR) para saber a possibilidade de estender os contratos do zagueiro Maicon e do atacante Kelvin, ambos titulares no esquema de Patón.

A consulta foi feita pelo diretor-executivo Gustavo Oliveira, que viajou para a Europa para compromissos pessoais e aproveitou para falar com dirigentes portistas. O saldo da primeira conversa foi considerado positivo no clube paulista, que tem o caso de Maicon como o mais urgente e complicado para resolver. Isso porque o empréstimo do beque termina em 30 de junho e a multa é estipulada em 15 milhões de euros (cerca de R$ 60 milhões).

Former Sunderland player Stephen Elliott has revealed that Roy Keane refused the club to have a promotion party back in 2007.

Life at the Stadium of Light has been far from a success over the last few years, having suffered relegation from the Premier League to League One in successive seasons, with the Black Cats set to spend a third consecutive campaign in the third tier.

Keane, who now works as a TV pundit, recently hit out at Aston Villa for heavily celebrating their final day draw with West Ham United which kept them in the Premier League.

Former Sunderland player Elliott has now revealed that the former Black Cats boss was never fond of celebrations, even after the 2007 success of reaching the Premier League with the Wearside club when he took over with them in the Championship relegation zone only nine months previously (as per BBC).

He told RTÉ 2FM’s ‘Game On’, as quoted by Irish Mirror: “I had that with Roy when he managed us at Sunderland.

“We got promoted to the Premier League, and in the Championship we had won the league and he wouldn’t let us have a celebratory party after the game.

“He wouldn’t let us celebrate with the fans because his mindset was, ‘Why are you celebrating? A team like Sunderland should be in the Premier League anyway’.

“But that was him coming from somewhere where he had won the Premier League seven or eight times.

“Some lads in that squad had never won a trophy before and they wanted to celebrate with the families and the fans.

“But in Roy’s mind, it was ‘we shouldn’t be celebrating, we should be there anyway’ and I think that’s just Roy’s mindset and that’s maybe why he was such a top, top player and a big leader.”

Keane managed Sunderland for just over two years before having a spell with Ipswich Town. He later held coaching roles with Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and the Republic of Ireland national team (as per Transfermarkt).

Whilst you can’t blame players for celebrating success or even remaining in a league, Keane’s comments on Sunderland’s standing in the English Football League are understandable.

After all, the Stadium of Light has a larger capacity (48,707) than 13 of the venues used in the Premier League this season, while they had a larger average attendance (30,118) than six top-flight clubs in 2019/20.

Those figures suggest that, as a club, they belong at Premier League level. Unfortunately, their eighth-place finish in last season’s League One table shows that they have some way to go to reclaim top-flight status.

O dia 8 de julho de 2014 está marcado como uma das páginas mais surpreendentes do futebol mundial. E ainda não dá para quantificar o quanto é trágica para o futebol brasileiro.

Mas se é possível encontrar algo positivo no massacre do Mineirão está no fato de que temos a chance de enterrar um dos maiores males que brotou em nossos campos em tempos recentes: a ideia de que o melhor e muitas vezes único caminho para o triunfo passa obrigatoriamente pela superação e pelo sofrimento.

A indigência tática da Seleção não surgiu contra a Alemanha. Ontem no Mineirão ela só ficou escancarada quando o Brasil enfrentou um time organizado. mas ela já tinha dado pistas em todos os jogos desta Copa do Mundo. Desde a estreia contra a Croácia, batida com a ajuda de um pênalti inexistente, até o encontro contra a Colômbia, em que o time funcionou por apenas 45 minutos.

E a cada resultado magro e sofrido o discurso principalmente de dentro da Seleção foi o de que não existe triunfo sem sofrimento. Antes de o jogo contra a Colômbia, a conversa era a de vencer por meio a zero e ser campeão assim.

A infeliz contusão de Neymar se transformou em uma arma, por mais incrível que isso possa parecer agora. Era a “superação”, o ingrediente que faltava para esta “receita de sucesso” que o futebol brasileiro passou a acreditar. Como num passe de mágica, estávamos preparados para vencer qualquer um, afinal já tínhamos a “superação” e o “sofrimento”.

A derrota de ontem no Mineirão não foi um acidente. Pode-se discutir o placar, mas nunca o massacre tático que o brasil de Felipão foi vítima. E os dois ingredientes que se acreditou que pudessem ser suficientes para se vencer estavam presentes.

Do outro lado, estava a Alemanha, talvez o time que mais se divertiu no Brasil até aqui. Não há traço de sofrimento, não há rosto de jogador alemão demonstrando superação. Só futebol, jogado com mais prazer e menos dor.

Que a tragédia brasileira de ontem enterre de vez algumas mentiras que passamos a acreditar.

واستكمل: “كنت أتشاجر مع اتحاد الكرة من أجل تنفيذ برنامجي، وعندما توليت المسؤولية مجدي عبد الغني طلب مني أن أضع قيمة راتبي الشهري وأنا رفضت، وقلت ما ستضعونه سأحصل عليه”.

واستطرد: “لعبت 12 مباراة رسمية في تاريخي مع اتحاد الكرة، خسرت 2 وفزت بالباقي، وهزمت إنجلترا 2-0، ولا يوجد أحد في تاريخ مصر فاز على إنجلترا بهذه النتيجة”.

وواصل: “كان من المفترض أن استكمل عملي، ولكن تمت إقالتي لأنني لم أكن على هوى اتحاد الكرة، هي ليست بالكفاءة، مصر كلها تعرف ذلك”.

واختتم: “وفرت ملايين وفزت بإفريقيا وتمت إقالتي، لأن هاني أبو ريدة كان يريد أن يتولى شوقي غريب المنتخب الأول، وحمادة المصري قال إن حسام البدري سيتولى المنتخب الأولمبي، ولم يذكرني أحد”.

Keith Downie has revealed some detail into the Bellagraph Nova (BN) Group’s bid to take over Newcastle United.

As per the Sky Sports anchor’s tweet, the group have claimed that they have made a £280m bid to buy out Mike Ashley, as Downie confirmed that the Sports Direct chief executive’s lawyers have held talks with them, adding: “I’ve seen documentation.”

The documents to which Downie refers contain the initial £280m offer, a letter of intent and a 29-page document with detailed financials, according to his tweet. However, as the journalist confirmed, the £280m offer is short of Ashley’s valuation of the Tyneside club, but the Magpies have yet to formally react to it.

Indeed, the consortium, which consists of the businesswoman Evangeline Shen as well as Singaporean cousins Terence and Nelson Loh, have reportedly already offered St. James’ Park legend Alan Shearer the chance to manage the first team, or at least play a big part in its development.

However, if the bid falls below Ashley’s expectations, it is likely to get rejected, and thus they will likely have to come up with more money.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabian (KSA) group, which consists of the Middle Eastern crown prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS), his country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), businesswoman/head of PCP Capital Partners Amanda Staveley and the billionaire London-based Reuben brothers, bid £300m to take over at Newcastle, so the BN Group will likely have to at least match this sum.

Nevertheless, perhaps it is useful insight from Downie into their intentions as the whole saga develops.

O projeto da ‘Cidade do Inter’ consiste em uma área de 75 hectares que o Inter obteve na cidade de Guaíba. O clube pretende construir, além de instalações para uso dos times de base e profissional, bares, restaurantes e áreas de convivência para a torcida e população local. No projeto inicial tem uma área até para a construção de residências.

O Corinthians realizou, na tarde desta sexta-feira, no CT Joaquim Grava, a penúltima atividade antes de enfrentar o Atlético-MG, domingo, às 17h, no Independência, pela 33ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro. Tite assistiu a boa parte do treinamento, enquanto sua comissão técnica dividiu o elenco e comandou treinos específicos de ataque e defesa. Os últimos quarenta minutos foram dedicados a um descontraído rachão para a equipe que lidera o torneio com oito pontos de vantagem para o segundo colocado.

A atividade que mais chamou atenção foi a que contou com o quinteto ofensivo da equipe. Uma linha de cinco jogadores composta por Malcom, Renato Augusto, Vagner Love, Rodriguinho e Jadson subia ao ataque constantemente para ensaiar jogadas ensaidas. Numa primeira vez, coube a Renato Augusto e Rodriguinho armarem as jogadas, fazendo triangulações, respectivamente, com as duplas Malcom/Love e Love/Jadson. Num outro momento do treino, Renato buscava inversão de jogo para Jadson, que cruzava para Love, ou Rodriguinho buscava inversão para Malcom, que cruzava também para Love.

No campo ao lado, demais jogadores trabalhavam sob comando de outros profissionais do Timão. O quarteto formado por Edílson, Felipe, Gil e Guilherme Arana treinou jogadas específicas de defesa, tanto de combate quanto de saída para o jogo. Elias, suspenso do duelo contra o Galo, treinou à parte ao lado do meia-atacante Claudinho.

Ao término das atividades específicas, Tite liberou o chamado “rachão” para o elenco. Com direito aos goleiros Matheus Vidotto e Caíque França na linha, o grupo foi dividido em dois times de 13 jogadores cada e disputou uma partida de aproximadamente quarenta minutos com clima bastante animado e descontraído.

–Não haviam solicitado hoje. Algumas vezes atrás pediram pra comissão técnica. Então eu de vez em quando quebro essa expectativa todas para deixar o momento deles. Na quinta-feira fiz o trabalho mais forte, assim como no sábado. Sexta deixo um trabalho mais limpo, com cunho mais técnico do que tático – explicou Tite.

A atividade foi marcada por “bullying” em cima de alguns atletas. Walter, por exemplo, brincou ao ver Lucca ganhar uma dividida de Felipe: “Até que enfim chegou em uma! Viagem longa essa sua do Criciúma para cá”. Malcom e Matheus Vidotto cornetaram Romero após o paraguaio perder um gol: “Acerta o gol, Romero!”, gritaram. Jadson também não perdoou Lincom: “Avisa o Lincom que ele está no time de colete”. Elias, cheio de auto-confiança, aplicou um chapéu e gritou: “Jogo muito”.

Now, 90min claim that the race to sign the midfielder is hotting up, with Everton set to face stiff competition for his signature – along with the likes of Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Southampton, European giants Dynamo Kiev and Dinamo Moscow are also lining up bids for the 24-year-old.

The report adds that “although Rangers do not want to lose the 24-year-old, they’re also not in a position to turn down a substantial bid for his services”.

Stepping up for Gbamin

Last summer, the Toffees may have thought they were finally getting a ready-made replacement for Idrissa Gueye when they signed Jean-Philippe Gbamin.

Instead, the Ivory Coast international has endured a nightmare first year at Goodison Park, making just two Premier League appearances before suffering a serious hamstring injury that kept him out of action for several months.

Then, in May, Gbamin was confirmed to have suffered an Achilles tendon rupture, with reports even claiming that he won’t be back in action until 2021. As such, Carlo Ancelotti will once again have to forget about including the midfielder in his first-team plans anytime soon, and that is exactly why a move for Kamara makes so much sense.

Hailed by Rangers boss Steven Gerrard as “outstanding”, Kamara was even dubbed the “steal of the century” by teammate Scott Arfield. And when you look at his performances for the Ibrox side, it’s clear to see why. Last season saw him make 39 appearances across all competitions, impressing in particular in the Europa League.

As per Whoscored, he averaged 1.4 interceptions and 0.8 dribbles per game in the competition, helping the Gers reach the last 16 before getting knocked out by Bayer Leverkusen earlier this month. If Ancelotti wants someone to provide a quick fix for Gbamin’s absence, then Kamara can fill that gap.
