Kevin Mirallas recently sat down with The Athletic to discuss everything Everton, and many Toffees fans have echoed his thoughts on some previous big names at the club and the current state of affairs.

The Belgian turned out to be a decent signing for Everton over the years, scoring 38 times in 186 appearances and bagging three times in an FA Cup run as the Toffees reached the semi-finals in 2015-16.

Mirallas has moved around a bit since leaving Merseyside, returning to Olympiacos, then to Fiorentina and now ending up in his homeland with Royal Antwerp.

However, the 32-year-old spoke about how hiring David Moyes, who signed him from Olympiacos, would take the club “back in time five years” suggesting that the club have made little progression since the Scot left.

The former Everton forward also took the time out to question Sam Allardyce’s tactics as a coach, leaving Mirallas questioning whether or not he “knew football”.

جدير بالذكر أن بيراميدز يحتل وصافة المجموعة الرابعة بدور المجموعات لبطولة الكونفدرالية برصيد 6 نقاط، فيما يتصدر الرجاء بـ 9 نقاط.

تحدث خالد الغندور قائد الزمالك الأسبق، ومقدم البرامج الرياضية الحالي بقناة ناديه، عن مواجهة الترجي التونسي ومولودية الجزائر في سادس جولات دور المجموعات ببطولة دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

وكان الزمالك ينتظر من الترجي الفوز على المولودية واقتناص الفارس الأبيض بطاقة الصعود للدور ربع النهائي بالبطولة القارية.

وأضاف: “أبارك للاعبي الزمالك لأنهم لعبوا بشرف، أما الترجي والمولودية لعبا مباراة تقسيمة”.

وأردف: “أبارك لمعين الشعباني الذي أراح معظم لاعبيه وأهلا بالروح الرياضية”.

واستكمل: “أبارك للزمالك ولكن هناك مباريات في تاريخ الكرة العالمية والإفريقية تكون عار على الكرة، ما حدث من الترجي والمولودية واضح للجميع والسيناريو كان واضحًا”.

واستطرد: “ما حدث في مباراة الترجي والمولودية سيؤدي إلى أن الفريقين لن يفوزا بهذه البطولة وسيودعان البطولة، الترجي كان قادرًا بكل سهولة أن يفوز على المولودية”.

واختتم: “الوضع يذكرني بفيلم هندي، برافو نادي الترجي والمولودية، وكما تدين تدان”.

Many Arsenal fans have responded on Twitter after the club account tweeted about an interview with Gabriel Martinelli.

@Arsenal tweeted quotes from the young Brazillian, where he describes himself to the Arsenal fans so that they know a bit more about the player.

He said (via the Arsenal website): “Sure, you’ve seen me play but you probably don’t know too much about me. So let me tell you a little bit about my story so far.

“I guess the most important thing is that I’ve always known I would be a footballer. My family and I always believed I could do it. They boosted my confidence and have supported me, no matter what.

“I’m proud that Arsenal has put its trust in me, so I will always give my all to help this team reach the top. That’s where it belongs.

“What they can expect from me now [Arsenal fans]? Someone who always gives his best, his maximum, and who always plays with his heart. That’s the most important thing you need to know about me.”

Martinelli joined Arsenal in the summer from Ituano in Brazil, where he had managed to score 10 goals in 34 appearances after debuting in 2017, according to the BBC.

Despite being only 18, the Brazilian has managed to rack up a decent amount of football under his belt considering that he is in his first year in England. The attacker has scored four goals in five games for the club – with just two of those starts.

Martinelli was able to bag a brace and an assist against Standard Liege in the Europa League as well as two goals against Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup. His other three appearances have been from the bench in the Premier League, playing against Newcastle United, Bournemouth and most recently Sheffield United.

وأكمل: “أعتقد أن الأمور تسير على ما يرام، هذه هي التحديات وأنا أحبها، إنه شيء يجب علي تحسينه ومواصلة القتال”.

وعن الكفاح من أجل الدوري، واصل: “أتلتيكو مدريد؟ لديهم مباريات مهمة أيضًا، عليك أن تستريح جيدًا، الدوري الإسباني هكذا، هناك العديد من المباريات وأنت لا تعرف ما سيحدث حتى النهاية”.

وأتم مارسيلو: “نحاول دائمًا الفوز بجميع البطولات التي نلعبها، ونحاول بذل كل ما في وسعنا لتحقيق الفوز”.

يذكر أن ريال مدريد أصبح رصيده 67 نقطة، في المركز الثاني خلف أتلتيكو مدريد المتصدر بـ 70 نقطة، وبرشلونة ثالثًا بـ 65 نقطة.

Leicester City recorded a stunning 9-0 win over a disastrous Southampton side in the Premier League on Friday night.

As expected, the likes of Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez took the headlines with both players scoring hat-tricks as the Foxes ran riot at St Mary’s.

However, a number of the Leicester fans were also keen to pay tribute to Ricardo Pereira’s performance on Friday and indeed his overall form for the club.

According to WhoScored, the 26-year-old won six tackles and had two successful dribbles during his 90 minutes on the field.

Pereira has managed two goals in 10 Premier League appearances this season, whilst the 5 ft 9 ace has four goals and seven assists in 48 outings for the English club in all competitions.

The right-back’s performance against Southampton went under the radar, but the club’s fans were keen to pay tribute to the Portugal international.

According to The Sun, Crystal Palace are eyeing up a January loan move for Liverpool teenager Rhian Brewster as the Eagles look to strengthen their attacking options.

What’s the word, then?

Well, the south Londoners believe that Brewster, 19, can compete with Christian Benteke, Jordan Ayew and Connor Wickham at Selhurst Park.

The Liverpool prospect looks to be a player of real star potential. Brewster won the Golden Boot at the U17 World Cup as England won the tournament in 2017, scoring eight goals along the way – Palace’s own Nya Kirby also featured for the Three Lions in the competition.

Additionally, the Reds academy graduate has scored 20 goals in 44 appearances throughout Liverpool’s youth ranks.

Would provide Steve Parish with a decent stop-gap to focus on other plans

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has outlined his intentions for the club’s future, including £15m-£20m plans to redevelop the academy as well as the reported £100m redevelopment of Selhurst Park – a project that is being stunted by Sainsbury’s refusal to sell a ‘slither’ of car park on the stadium site.

The Eagles chief recently decided to take an advance on a £22.5m instalment owed by Manchester United in nine months’ time, striking a deal with Australian bank Macquarie to bring the payment forward – it is believed that the money won’t be used to help Roy Hodgson in the January window.

So, in that respect, a loan deal for Brewster would save Parish some money and help keep the finances fairly balanced as he embarks on what is looking like a costly revamp of his club’s academy and stadium, while boosting the first-team squad for the remainder of the campaign.

The south Londoners have skimped and saved wherever they can in recent windows, spending less than £5m back in the summer – before that, Hodgson had only spent money on Alexander Sorloth and Cheikhou Kouyate across his two-year managerial stint, as well as a minimal fee on Jaroslaw Jach.

A loan for Brewster would help continue that trend, crucially saving money in the process, and could help mask the goalscoring woes of Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham – the pair haven’t scored this term, and grabbed just one league goal between them last season.

Chelsea secured a vital 2-1 victory against Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday (via BBC Sport). 

The Blues ensured they maintained their excellent recent run of form by beating the Hornets, with goals from Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic ensuring they claimed all three points.

There were many excellent performances from Blues players in the game, but the man who arguably stood out was Abraham.

As well as his goal, the England international also provided the assist for Pulisic’s strike and finished with a perfect passing accuracy of 100%, earning him a WhoScored rating of 7.76.

It has been a remarkable season so far for the 22-year-old, who has grasped the opportunity given to him by Frank Lampard with both hands.

He now has 10 goals and two assists for Chelsea in 16 appearances in all competitions (WhoScored), and at the time of writing, he is the joint leading goalscorer in the Premier League alongside Sergio Aguero and Jamie Vardy (BBC Sport).
