-Sabíamos que o jogo era uma semifinal, que para ir à final teríamos que ganhar o jogo hoje. Felizmente, a equipe entrou bem no jogo, fez um gol cedo e já tinha tido oportunidade antes. Foi um time montado para atacar a baliza do adversário, com as devidas cautelas defensivas – e acrescentou:

– Cada um sabia da missão que deveria cumprir, e cumpriram na sua perfeição. Tivemos aqui e ali alguma falha ou outra, mas isso é próprio do jogo.

O comandante alvinegro, que “regeu” a torcida ao final da partida, falou sobre o fato do Alvinegro só depender de suas próprias forças na última rodada do Brasileirão.

– Eu olhava sempre para cima, mas com retrovisor para ver o que vinha abaixo. No futebol temos que desconfiar de tudo. Já são muitos anos ao serviço dele e já nos ensinou muita coisa. O grupo tem três valores dentro dele que não pode abdicar: coragem, respeito e determinação. Tudo isso teve sempre muito presente no grupo – disse.

Em seguida, agradeceu a John Textor por acreditar no seu trabalho.

-Olhava para cima, trabalhávamos muito. Lembro de dois momentos em que tivemos quatro derrotas seguidas. Foram momentos difíceis porque a torcida queria nos matar. Parabéns à administração e ao John Textor por apoiar durante toda temporada quem eles escolheram para ser treinador – e apontou:

– Quando vejo um colega meu saindo do clube, alguém que tenha sido escolhido por ter um determinado perfil, é sempre um momento dramático para o futebol. E hoje eu estar no cargo depois de ter atravessado momentos difíceis, foi um exemplo que o John Textor deu a todo o futebol brasileiro. Se olharmos para as equipes que caíram, eles trocaram tanto de treinador, mas o que adiantou? A solução é essa? Querem essas soluções? Não aguentam a pressão e mandam o treinador embora? Só o treinador tem que aguentar a pressão? A administração também tem que aguentar a pressão – completou.

Castro reforçou o quanto acredita nos jogadores alvinegros.

– Eu disse a eles antes e depois do jogo que para mim é um orgulho enorme, um prazer enorme treinar meus jogadores. Falei: “Aconteça o que acontecer hoje, terão sempre um treinador orgulhoso de vocês. Vocês sempre foram muito dignos durante toda a temporada, debaixo de muito trabalho nunca viraram a cara, sempre deram a cara, coragem.” A fama se vai, o prestígio fica – declarou.

O treinador frisou a confiança no momento da equipe.

-Nós estamos fortes. Nesse momento, quem não gosta tanto de nós vai falar sobre vitórias contra o Avaí e Goiás, não que ganhamos do Atlético-MG fora, do Flamengo fora. Nós jogamos em um primeiro momento para ficar na Série A. Aconteça o que acontecer no domingo, os meus jogadores são fantásticos, honestos e fizeram uma campanha ótima – afirmou.

“Obviously private phone calls, but no real surprises,” Cummins said in Adelaide. “We love what they both are doing in first-class cricket. We love what they bring to any side they’re playing in. They’re doing all the right things. Unfortunately, they both just missed out on this one. Durante os bastidores, Pittigliani pegou um papel e escreveu para Pelé ler. Assim, o produtor e divulgador começava a pregar uma peça no Atleta do Século (veja o registro abaixo).

– O que estava escrito no papel? “Amigo, você acaba de ser fotografado recebendo um autógrafo meu” (risos). Aí ele riu e disse: “Pittigliani, você é muito criativo, entende?” – contou, em tom bem-humorado.

Peladeiro declarado, Armando Pittigliani revelou que aprontou esse “drible” com outros dois craques: Zico e Ronaldo Fenômeno. O produtor e divulgador musical disputou preliminares no Maracanã ao lado de artistas como Chico Buarque, Dori Caymmi, dos integrantes da formação original do MPB-4 e de outros campos, como o ator Arnaud Rodrigues, o apresentador Sérgio Chapelin e o múltiplo Miele.

-Os dois sempre foram grandes amigos. O Jair foi um grande peladeiro! Tanto que, no sítio que ele tinha em Itu, fez um campo de futebol tamanho oficial, muito bem gramado e com iluminação para jogos noturnos. Jair e eu estivemos juntos em Nova York com Pelé. Quando nos apresentou a Xuxa, antes dela ser famosa… – contou.

Pelé dividiu os vocais com o “Cachorrão” na música “Cidade Grande”. A canção, de autoria do próprio “Rei”, entrou no LP “Alegria de Um Povo”, lançada em 1981.

– A gravação foi apresentada inclusive no “Fantástico” (programa da Rede Globo) – recordou Pittigliani.

O produtor contou como foi o “Rei” na rotina de gravação da canção.

– É claro que em matéria de afinação hoje seria mais fácil. Mas usamos alguns truques, como solar a melodia. Aí o artista canta ouvindo a melodia com você isso melhora um pouco. Depois, na mixagem, retiramos este instrumento “solista”. Mas o clipe no “Fantástico” repercutiu muito – afirmou.

O produtor e divulgador musical atualmente, segue “em atividade” no Clube dos Trinta, em São Conrado, no Rio de Janeiro. Neste momento, Armando Pittigliani tem projetos de registrar suas memórias em um livro e em uma minissérie. Uma das histórias passa pela “caneta” que deu no saudoso “Rei do Futebol”.

– Resolvemos o emergencial e ainda temos pendências financeiras. Precisamos ter sinergia entre equilíbrio financeiro e time competitivo, e estamos fazendo isso. Tivemos seis possibilidades de final e chegamos em três. Temos que trabalhar os alicerces principais. A gente não pode chegar aqui e fazer loucura.

Para o dirigente, o trabalho a conta-gotas é fundamental para o clube recuperar o seu espaço de novo de disputa de títulos. E destaca o fato do São Paulo ter fechado com lucro pela primeira vez em três anos.

– Devagar nós vamos atuar novamente no cenário nacional. O São Paulo estava desacostumado, hoje temos transparência e nessa linha vamos fortalecer o time sem arrebentar as finanças. É algo duro, mas necessário. Se tivesse jogado tudo para o futuro, deixaria o clube como recebi. O importante é que estamos em um processo de reconstrução. Depois de três anos que o São Paulo teve déficit, estamos caminhando para um superávit, vocês vão ver. Estamos equilibrando as finanças, sanando as dívidas.

– Chegamos no São Paulo com uma dívida muito grande com empresários, assumimos a folha de pagamento, uma parte dos tempos de pandemia não foi paga. A pressão no fluxo de caixa muito grande. E 2022 foi um ano desafiador, porque tínhamos que pagar as contas de curto prazo, alongar a dívida e montar um time com jogadores vindos por empréstimo ou com compra parcelada. Como conseguimos retomar a credibilidade, o São Paulo teve condições de negociar jogadores, o agente sabe que o São Paulo vive um momento delicado e aceita parcelar, aceita empréstimos. Estamos em um processo de reconstrução – completou Casares, que vê evolução no clube.

– Estamos entrando em 2023 com a mesma premissa de responsabilidade. Estamos reforçando o time com muita criatividade. Estamos pagando algo agora e parcelando em 2024, 2025, ou emprestando e tendo a opção de compra no futuro. Me lembro quando cheguei em 2021, sentei na cadeira e fiquei desesperado, porque chegavam oficiais de justiça querendo bloquear bens. Hoje melhorou muito. Estamos num processo de reconstrução.
